Muslim Calendar — Terms of Use

Terms version 2026-09-26 · Effective with Muslim Calendar 4.0.

Terms — English

1. Agreement and provider

These Terms govern Muslim Calendar, package ro.atom.muslimcalendar, provided by ATOM Technology (support@muslim.atomtech.ro; child safety: safety@muslim.atomtech.ro). By using the core app you agree to these Terms. Smart Jamat requires a separate, versioned acceptance before registration. If you do not accept its Terms and Community Rules, do not enable Smart Jamat; the core prayer, Quran and calendar tools remain available.

2. Eligibility

The core app is available to a general audience. Smart Jamat is only for people aged 18 or older. You must give an accurate 18+ confirmation and may not enable, organize or answer Smart Jamat calls on behalf of a child. Smart Jamat is open in all countries; the service decides where it is available, and for which app languages and app versions it opens it.

3. What the app provides

The app provides prayer calculations and reminders, Quran tools, Qibla, Hijri calendar, private worship records and optional online mosque/content services. Smart Jamat lets adults send and receive short-lived, structured prayer-gathering calls in an approximate area. It is not a chat, social network, dating service, emergency service, ride service or source of verified attendance.

The Community noticeboard and translation-contribution functions are not offered in 4.0, and the Halal directory appears only where the service opens it. Code or historical records for a disabled feature do not mean that the feature is available.

4. Prayer, mosque and religious information

Calculated prayer times and Hijri dates are estimates based on the selected method, city, time zone and adjustments. A mosque schedule can be incomplete, outdated or unverified unless explicitly labelled verified. For Jumuah and other congregational worship, confirm the time and arrangements with a trusted local mosque. Nothing in the app is a religious ruling.

5. Smart Jamat responsibilities

Predefined messages on a call. Inside a call, its organizer and the people the call reached or who answered it can send short messages chosen from a fixed list, such as “I'm coming”, “About 10 min late” or “We're starting soon”. Nobody can type text: only the chosen message and its number or slot are sent, and each phone shows it in its own language. A sender is shown to the others only as “Organizer” or “Participant” with a number that has meaning only inside that call. “I'm coming”, “late” and “+N with me” also record your RSVP; “I can't come” removes it. Send only what is true: a false organizer update, or messages repeated to disturb others, break these Terms and the Community Rules.

Friday rooms. On a Friday the app can show a room for Jumu'ah at a mosque you follow or for your city area. A room has no organizer and cannot be cancelled; it is opened by the first eligible person who looks, nothing about it is sent as a notification, and it ends when that Friday ends. In a room you can say that you are going and choose one predefined message. Other people see only how many did so, in broad ranges (0, 1–4, 5–19, 20+), and never who.

6. Safety and moderation

You can report a call and block its organizer. You can also report a single predefined message, block its sender, and report a Friday room. Three counted reports hide a message and close its thread to new messages, or send a room to review, until a moderator decides; no single report closes a Friday room, and a report from a registration made less than a day earlier is recorded and reviewed but not counted. Child-safety reports quarantine the call immediately pending review. ATOM may suppress delivery, quarantine, cancel or retain evidence about a call; limit, revoke or block an installation; and cooperate with competent authorities when necessary for safety or law. Report, block, cancellation and data-revocation paths may remain available while normal creation is disabled.

ATOM does not continuously verify organizers, attendees or every mosque schedule. Moderation reduces risk but cannot guarantee conduct or physical safety. Use ordinary judgment, meet only in appropriate public or mosque settings, and contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.

7. Permission to process structured calls

You retain any rights you have in the information you submit. You grant ATOM a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive permission to host, copy, deliver, moderate and delete that structured information only as needed to operate, secure and improve the service and meet legal duties. This permission ends when the information is deleted, except for safety evidence lawfully retained for the periods in the Privacy Policy.

8. Acceptable use

You may not attack, scrape, reverse engineer for abuse, bypass rate limits or integrity checks, register false devices, automate calls or reports, interfere with delivery, or use the service in violation of law or another person's rights. You may not attempt to derive another user's identity from area, time or mosque data.

9. Availability, changes and termination

Online services may be changed, limited by country/app version, interrupted or stopped. Feature flags may close Smart Jamat immediately for safety. You may stop using the app or turn Smart Jamat off at any time. ATOM may suspend access for abuse or safety risk. A material Terms or Rules change receives a new version and requires acceptance again for Smart Jamat.

10. Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the app and online services are provided without a guarantee that every time, schedule, stream, notification or user-submitted call is accurate, uninterrupted or delivered. ATOM is not a party to an in-person gathering and does not control participants. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

11. Law and contact

Romanian law applies, without removing mandatory rights available in your country. Disputes may be brought before a competent court as required by applicable consumer law. Contact support@muslim.atomtech.ro; child-safety reports go to safety@muslim.atomtech.ro.

Contact: support@muslim.atomtech.ro; siguranța copiilor: safety@muslim.atomtech.ro.
