Child Safety — English
Immediate danger: contact local emergency services. Muslim Calendar is not an emergency service and cannot provide real-time rescue.
Zero tolerance
ATOM Technology prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexualisation of minors, trafficking, sextortion, threats to a child, or attempts to move a child into private or in-person contact. We also prohibit content or conduct that facilitates, praises, requests, links to or conceals such abuse.
Product safeguards
- The core prayer, Quran and calendar tools do not require a social account.
- Smart Jamat is restricted to people aged 18 or older and requires a versioned 18+ confirmation before any registration, including one that only takes part in Friday rooms.
- Smart Jamat permits only structured prayer, time, approximate-area and optional mosque fields, and short predefined messages chosen from a fixed list, which each phone shows in its own language. It has no free text, images, videos, audio uploads, links, comments, direct messages, contacts, precise GPS, profiles or visible organizer identity; the sender of a message is shown only as “Organizer” or “Participant” with a number that has meaning only inside that call.
- Audience size is bucketed; exact nearby-person counts are not displayed. A Friday room shows only how many are going, in broad ranges, never who.
- Users can report a call or a single predefined message, select “Child safety concern”, block an organizer or the sender of a message, report a Friday room, and later manage their block list. These safety and revocation actions remain available if normal Smart Jamat creation is switched off.
How to report
Open the call (More → Jamaat call, or its notification), choose Report this call, then Child safety concern. The server immediately quarantines the call and stops undelivered notifications while the report awaits review. You may also block the organizer. To report a predefined message, choose Report message on that message: a child-safety report removes it from the thread at once and quarantines its call in the same way. A Friday room has no organizer and sends no notifications, so no single report closes it; every report on a room, a child-safety report included, is put in front of a moderator, and reports about child safety or unsafe conduct are listed first. For a concern that cannot be reported in the app, email safety@muslim.atomtech.ro with the public call ID, date/time, a concise description and your country. Do not send illegal imagery, your device secret or an FCM token by email.
Response and escalation
While Smart Jamat is open, the moderation rota checks the queue at least twice daily. A child-safety report or credible severe threat targets human review within one hour; other reports target review within 12 hours. These are operational targets, not emergency guarantees.
Reviewers preserve the minimum evidence needed, restrict access, document the decision and stop further delivery. Confirmed or reasonably suspected CSAM/CSAE is removed or disabled as appropriate and reported without undue delay to the competent law-enforcement, national/regional reporting authority, NCMEC where legally required, or another authority required by applicable law. ATOM complies with lawful preservation and disclosure requests and does not knowingly notify a suspected offender when that would create risk or compromise an investigation.
Retention and privacy
Child-safety reports are linked to pseudonymous device and call IDs, not a public identity. Report records are ordinarily removed after 90 days; moderation audit records may remain for up to 12 months. Evidence may be retained longer only where required by law, a valid preservation request or an active safety investigation. See the Privacy Policy.
Enforcement and review
ATOM may quarantine or cancel calls, revoke a device registration, prevent further delivery, preserve evidence and cooperate with authorities. Attempts to evade controls lead to stronger enforcement. These standards are reviewed whenever the product, the countries where Smart Jamat is open or the law change.
Safety point of contact
Muslim Calendar and Smart Jamat are provided by ATOM Technology. Child-safety contact: safety@muslim.atomtech.ro; other questions: support@muslim.atomtech.ro. Smart Jamat must not open in any country until inbound delivery, alerting, named primary/backup ownership and the response rota have been tested and recorded.
