Deletion — English
Smart Jamat does not create an account. Its self-service removal uses credentials held only by your app installation. Do not email those credentials.
Remove Smart Jamat online data
- In Muslim Calendar, open More → Jamaat call → Turn off jamaat calls.
- The app stops Smart Jamat notifications locally, asks ATOM to revoke the pseudonymous device registration, and clears the active Smart Jamat consent/credentials while retaining only what is needed to retry revocation. It asks Firebase to delete the installation token when no retained legacy Community push opt-in still uses that shared token. If offline, a background retry is queued and the app shows that removal is pending.
Revocation immediately erases the encrypted push token at ATOM and makes queued deliveries terminal. The pseudonymous row and safety records follow the retention periods below. Reinstalling without first opting out stops local delivery but may not authenticate a server-side deletion request; use in-app opt-out before uninstall whenever possible.
Remove a specific Smart Jamat interaction
- Remove your RSVP from the call while it remains available.
- Cancel a call you organized. Cancellation notices remain deliverable briefly so recipients are not sent to an invalid gathering.
- Unblock an organizer from the blocked-organizers list, or leave the block in place until the pseudonymous device row is deleted.
- A predefined message sent in a call cannot be withdrawn on its own; “I can't come this time” removes your RSVP. In a Friday room a new message replaces the one you were showing, and taking back your “I'm going” also withdraws a message of yours there that said you were coming. Turning Smart Jamat off withdraws every message you sent, from every call and every Friday room, at once, and removes all your answers.
Delete local app data
- More → Settings → Location and privacy → Privacy dashboard → Delete local activity history removes prayer journal, pause days, fasting, Quran reading-day history, tasbih totals, Ramadan progress and qada from this device.
- The same dashboard can clear public cloud caches and turn off the mosque service/unfollow a mosque.
- Android Settings → Apps → Muslim Calendar → Storage → Clear storage removes all remaining local settings, notes, bookmarks, downloaded packs and app-held credentials. Uninstalling also removes local data because Android/cloud backup is disabled.
- Copies you explicitly exported are outside the app; delete them from the destination you chose.
Delete a legacy Community account
Version 4.0 cannot create a new Community account, but an upgraded installation may expose a recovery-only account screen for a historical session. Open More → Settings → Community and account → Delete account. This deletes or anonymises account-linked data according to the legacy service policy and revokes sessions/devices. If the recovery screen is unavailable, email support@muslim.atomtech.ro from the address used for that account. ATOM will verify control before deletion.
What may remain, and for how long
- Expired/cancelled/quarantined Smart Jamat calls: up to 90 days after expiry.
- Predefined messages you sent: withdrawn from every thread the moment you turn Smart Jamat off, and deleted at the daily retention run after their call has ended. A message that somebody reported stays until a moderator has seen it. The messages of a call nobody reported are deleted 7 days after the call ended; those of a reported or quarantined call are kept with it, up to 90 days after expiry.
- Friday rooms, with the answers, messages and reports in them: 14 days after the room ended. Your own answer and message leave every room the moment you turn Smart Jamat off.
- Smart Jamat reports: 90 days after review, or 90 days while still open.
- Terminal delivery-queue rows: 35 days.
- Moderation audit: up to 12 months.
- An inactive pseudonymous Smart Jamat device row without linked calls: up to 180 days after revocation. A row linked to a retained call is removed after those records become eligible for deletion.
- Information subject to a lawful preservation order or active child-safety investigation: only as long as legally necessary.
These limited records are retained for cancellation delivery, abuse prevention, reports, legal compliance and moderation accountability. The push-token ciphertext is not retained after revocation.
Request help
Muslim Calendar and Smart Jamat are provided by ATOM Technology (support@muslim.atomtech.ro; child safety: safety@muslim.atomtech.ro). Email support@muslim.atomtech.ro and state whether your request concerns local data, Smart Jamat or a legacy Community account. Do not send an FCM token, device secret, password, identity document or illegal content. Because Smart Jamat intentionally has no email/name account, support cannot locate a pseudonymous installation from your name alone and will guide you to the authenticated in-app revocation path.
